INtroduction
Brief Overview
I place my trust in Christ until I was 26 years old. Since then, I have been blessed by strong discipleship within my local churches, where I have had the opportunity to serve in diverse roles. These experiences have deepened my understanding of church operations and stirred my heart to support the healthy functioning of the local church.
Before entering full-time ministry, I spent 25 years in various management roles within a privately owned semi-truck dealership organization. In 2018, I began sensing a call to ministry and pursued theological education at Luther Rice College & Seminary. I graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and a Minor in Ministry.
My ministry journey led me to serve for two years at a large Christian school in Jinja, Uganda. I initially held an administrative role but later transitioned into a pastoral position, where I had the privilege of serving and shepherding others. My time in Uganda sharpened my ministry skills and deepened my desire to become a pastor within a local U.S. church.
In July 2023, I was called to serve as the Executive Pastor at Grace Community Church in Hudsonville, Michigan. This role has utilized my experience in leadership, staff development, administration and strategic planning. The role required me to quickly adapt to the unique needs of the church, including policy development, governance, fundraising and church planting. It is an honor to use my experience and calling to serve the body of Christ in this capacity.
What Am I Looking For?
My heart and calling is to serve as an Executive Pastor. I firmly believe that a Senior Pastor should have the freedom to preach, teach, and cast vision for the church without being burdened by administrative responsibilities. For this to happen effectively, he needs a capable and trusted leader to oversee church operations and drive initiatives that align with the vision. I am deeply committed to this role and consider it an honor to serve in a position that supports the Senior Pastor rather than seeks to replace him. My calling is to serve in submission to leadership, ensuring that the church functions efficiently and thrives in its mission.
On a personal level, our family desires to be part of a community that is both family-friendly and ethnically diverse. I hope to provide for my family in a way that allows my wife the option to stay at home or work part-time while caring for our children. We believe it is important for her to continue homeschooling our daughter while also staying closely involved in both of our children’s lives. Additionally, we would love for our son to have the opportunity to attend a Christian high school.
